Polk County, Florida – A doctor, investigators say, was handing out prescriptions without examining patients and was arrested. The arrest capped seven-month investigation. Detectives called the operation a pill mill. “Undercover detectives purchased prescriptions, medications for pain on 11 different occasions without any physical exam, without any medical testing at all,” said Polk Sheriff Grady Judd. Cops say one undercover asked the doctor to write a prescription for one of his buddies for Oxycodone, he did. A medical office on 6th Street Southeast in Winter Haven was also raided.
